I am sorry for my late reply. We are busy preparing for the IFAF sanctioned ÅhusStrand BeachFlagFootball and everything that comes with it.
It is possible for 16 men's teams and 8 women's teams to participate in the tournament, i.e. a total of 24 teams. I have had quite many teams asking for more information about the beach event, some from France and even from Austria!
The men's tournament will be divided into four groups with 4 teams each, the women's tournament will be divided into two groups with 4 teams each. All teams in each group will play each other in order to get the final group standings. Then the teams will either advance to A- or B-playoffs. The men's playoffs schedule (A and B) includes quarter finals, semi finals and finals. Each women's playoffs schedule (A and B) includes semi finals and finals.
The preliminary schedule for the event day (July 8th) is as follows:
All participating teams need to register no later than 12:00 at the registry inside the tent located at the Åhus Beach Arena. Printed detailed information will be handed out at the registration. The ÅhusStrand BeachSoccer tournament will finish for the day at around 13:00. All 8 game fields at Åhus Beach Arena will then be adjusted to beach flag football fields. In the meantime there will be a technical meeting with the team managers of the participating teams in order to go through the specific rules for beach flag football etc. ÅhusStrand BeachFlagFootball tournament will start at 14:00 and the finals will be played at around 21:00 (spotlights at the centercourt are available if necessary).

Please contact me if you need any further information. Last but certainly not the least, do not forget to challenge your Danish teams to participate in the ÅhusStrand BeachFlagFootball '11!
